Goodbye Yaya Gin

haaay ikay, yaya gin, your 2nd yaya for 2 weeks pa lang asked my permission to go home na to her family. she has a lot of reasons you know....she said she's having a hard time taking care of you coz ur so big and she's so petite lang. She told me na sumisikip ang dibdib niya when she carries you plus the fact that you're reall malikot na. Another reason she said, is that her mother misses her so. her sister texted her this afternoon telling her that if she does not come home, her mom will fetch her!

what can i do anak? i can't force her to stay. i wouldn't. sayang. she seemed so nice and sweet and really fond of you. back to step one na naman. time to look for another yaya that would help me and yaya deling. yaya deling is a bit old na kasi. she can't juggle household work and taking care of you. sooner or later, magrereklamo na rin siya. coz ur so bibo anak, ur so full of life...ubos energy namin ni dad, me and your yaya. nakakatuwa ka na pero nkakadrain ka talaga ng energy. and u have the tendency na to throw a tantrum when u dont get what u want....haaay nak, we love u!

For Erika

Dear Ikay,

Beginning today, this blog is gonna be all about you, me and ur daddy but mostly about you since i intend this to be a diary of all your happennings, your milestones, your firsts...as long as i can manage it.

Today, you've managed to pull mommy's hair and tried harder to pull mom's earrings since you didn't find your usual toy around my neck..yup, it was my cross necklace. i've told you over and over again that it's going to be yours eventually, only if i didn't lose it myself. I told you too that I'm gonna buy you one when you're older, with your name in it.

I had a hard time feeding you with your cerelac - mixed veggies. You are behaved while eating most of the time but on this particular day, you were hyper!!! Bathing you had always been pleasurable to me since you liked taking a bath. You even know how to say Amen by putting your hands together. But today, you were exceptionally restless. You were sitting in your tub and trying to reach the water inside the basin beside. You were so cuuuuute but it took me longer to bathe you. Even asked the help of your yaya Gin to keep you still. Grabe anak! you are so active na.

Nevertheless, you still look angelic even when you're pouting but you really look better when you're smiling. Hehehe. We love u anak! You are God's greatest gift to me and ur dad.

Wedding Pains??? Not!

Wedding Day Count Down: 5 days 21 hours and 35 minutes

There had never been more butterflies in my stomach than now! After 6 months of planning and preparation, discussions, arguments and make-ups, the big day is finally coming...the one big day that will matter most (at least, to all the friends, guests and spectators).

I realize that getting married is like putting together a big production, a big show for everybody to enjoy and to remember. I, of course, as the Bride is the Director of this show (on the side is my Producer - Gerry...hehehe!) The Star of this show? Who else but Moi? c",) Although it's fun and exciting, it's never easy you know. I, "feeling" Super Woman as I am needed to admit that I cannot go through all these without seeking the help of Wedding Planners at least for the On-the-day coordination while my Groom is busy in Bicolandia looking for a way to finance our almost perfect wedding...if only my vital stats are 34-24-34. sigh!

I'd have to deal with sleepless nights, tension pains, penniless days (coz i resigned as a corporate slave), numerous painful trips to the dermatologist to have that "glow" on my wedding day, crash diets (which by the way didn't do me any good), non-constructive arguments with Gerry, unsolicited advices from outside forces (harhar), sweaty underpants after working out (i did shed a measly 7 pounds...honest!), a substantial decrease in our bank account and several serious threats of break-up...all initiated by me during my bouts of insanity.

But all these I would go through again if only to marry the man who makes me happy and who makes me feel really special. The man is worth it, I tell you. He was once asked by my father why after all that's been said and done against him, he still chose me. He simply answered, "Mahal ko po talaga ang anak niyo eh."

Bebe, just so you'll know, we may have come from two different worlds, I may not have been as understanding and patient as I should be but I have always loved you more.

Can't wait to be Mrs Karen Anne Go =)
